I joined the gym four years ago, I was a keen runner and participated in marathons and half marathons and felt I had a good level of fitness. I hadn't done any strength training before and I couldn't perform one push up.
I began training with Alan so I could learn a small bit about weights. Worried I would become too bulky, this wasn't the case. To my surprise, I learned that I wasn't eating enough food to fuel my workouts and day to day life in general, so my intake of food increased. Following on from this my whole-body shape changed. The scales not so much but I became stronger my body fat reduced and I had way more energy.
As a mother of four children this energy was very much needed. I have now been training with Alan for four years and I'm still learning. I've worked towards various personal goals which I would never have had the confidence before to embark on and I have achieved great personal success thanks to the guidance and knowledge of Alan.
My passion for fitness and training has now led me down the road of furthering my experience and knowledge as I am now studying to become a Personal trainer. On any fitness journey the knowledge and skills held by a trainer is of the utmost importance as your health and wellbeing is in their hands.
